About the role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst – Systems & Data to lead and deliver high-quality business analysis across Children’s Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding business needs, gathering and analysing requirements, developing solutions and supporting the delivery of effective systems and processes.
Key responsibilities
Gather and analyse business requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys and process analysis.
Document business requirements, processes, workflows and user needs.
Analyse and evaluate information from multiple sources and clearly define user requirements.
Develop business cases and provide recommendations to senior management.
Work with service managers to identify and develop new requirements and improve existing services.
Lead and support service reviews, process mapping and requirements workshops.
Produce detailed business requirements and functional specifications.
Carry out feasibility studies and provide analysis of proposed changes.
Develop organisational and process designs where required.
Work with stakeholders to transform and improve services.
Support the implementation of solutions and ensure requirements are met.
Provide regular support and guidance to colleagues and contribute to the development of business analysis skills.
Produce high-quality reports, briefings and business documentation.
Ensure business analysis activities and deliverables are completed accurately, on time and to the required standard.
Essential qualifications
Degree or equivalent experience relating to Business Analysis.
Diploma or other formal qualification in Business Analysis.
Essential experience
Experience of risk management, benefits management and business writing.
Extensive experience of influencing and negotiating across different levels and functions.
Experience of mapping and modelling business processes using recognised methodologies.
Extensive experience presenting and facilitating workshops.
Extensive experience analysing high-level data and information for statutory reporting.
Previous Business Analysis experience delivering technical/ICT-critical projects.
Commercial awareness.
