Senior Accountant (Financial)
£34.64 per hour PAYE (£38.81 per hour including holiday pay)
Are you an experienced accountant looking for a senior finance role where you can make a real impact?
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Accountant to support a large public sector organisation, providing expert financial advice to budget managers and helping to ensure strong financial governance and informed decision-making.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys business partnering, financial analysis and working closely with senior stakeholders.

The role
You will:
Provide financial advice and support to budget managers Prepare budgets, forecasts and revenue estimates Produce year-end accounts and supporting papers Monitor budgets and ensure compliance with financial regulations Deliver management accounts and financial reports Complete statutory financial returns Reconcile financial records and maintain strong financial controls Develop and improve financial systems and processes Support Finance Managers with service delivery Interpret financial data to support strategic decisions Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
About you
You will have:
At least three years' experience within an accounting environment Part-qualified accountant status or be fully qualified AAT Experience preparing budgets and final accounts Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills Knowledge of demand-led services and financial modelling Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines
