Virtual Engineering Ops
Contract: 6 months initially
Rate: Up to £650 per day (inside IR35 / umbrella)
Hybrid / Remote: Remote with occasional to London office
My client is currently seeking a skilled Virtual Engineering Ops professional for a contract role. This opportunity involves working on a range of exciting projects, leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies to streamline operations Managing enterprise desktop and server environments to ensure optimal performance Developing and maintaining automation scripts for various processes Ensuring the security and compliance of systems and data Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and engineer scalable platforms Optimising system performance and monitoring infrastructure health Performing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments Managing and executing project deliverables efficiently
Job Requirements:
Core technical expertise in engineering within the technology sector Experience with Citrix, VMware (vSphere, ESXi), and Terraform Proficiency in Azure/AWS cloud platforms Familiarity with automation tools such as Packer and Jenkins Knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Management, along with Group Policy Management Exposure to DevOps & CI/CD practices Understanding of security and compliance standards Skills in scripting and automation, including the use of Gitlab/Github
Additional Skills:
Platform design and engineering competencies Experience in monitoring and performance optimisation Project management capabilities
