Are you an experienced finance professional looking for your next opportunity to the lead the finance function for a Sheffield SME?
Due to retirement, our client is looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Finance Manager on an initial temporary basis during a handover period. With the business continuing to perform well, this is a permanent role for the right individual.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team and take ownership of a varied finance role where you'll play an important part in the day to day running of the accounts function.
The Role
You'll be responsible for a broad range of bookkeeping duties, including:
Managing the Purchase Ledger from start to finish. Maintaining the Sales Ledger and processing customer invoices. Assisting with Credit Control and customer account queries. Running a small monthly payroll. Completing bank reconciliations. Performing supplier statement reconciliations. Supporting with general bookkeeping and finance administration. Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks when required.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys a varied workload and is happy to get involved across all areas of transactional finance.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience within a Bookkeeping or Accounts role. Strong Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger experience. Knowledge of bank and statement reconciliations. Experience processing payroll (desirable). Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. A positive, team-focused attitude with a proactive approach to your work.
