Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Acute Medical & Orthopaedic Wards
Location: Newport Contract: Temporary Hours: Full-time
Our client is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their team, working across acute medical and orthopaedic wards . This role involves providing specialist occupational therapy interventions to support patient recovery and facilitate safe, timely discharges.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality occupational therapy interventions for patients on acute medical and orthopaedic wards.
Complete functional assessments and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
Support discharge planning and liaise with the multidisciplinary team.
Promote independence and optimize patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
Proven experience in acute inpatient care , ideally across medical and orthopaedic specialties.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage a varied caseload.
