Key Responsibilities:
As the Accounts/Finance Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of exciting tasks, including:
Uploading purchase invoices into Xero with precision. Creating payment schedules and processing bi-weekly payments. Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including postponed VAT. Raising invoices, ensuring correct CIS deductions and VAT rates. Reconciling bank and credit accounts while addressing banking queries. Liaising with suppliers regarding invoicing, credit limits, and payments. Conducting age debtor analysis and managing credit control. Keeping Directors informed on the company's financial position through insightful project financials, sales mix analysis, and profit & loss reports. Preparing budgets and forecasts to guide the organisation's financial planning. Collaborating with external accountants to provide necessary information for annual accounts. Working closely with the team to ensure our project management system reflects payments received from clients. Managing company expenses by uploading cash receipts and maintaining accurate records. Supporting long-term strategic planning with your financial analysis expertise.
Essential Skills:
To excel in this role, you will need:
AAT Level 4 qualification as a minimum requirement. At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or finance role. Proficiency with Xero accounting software. Solid experience in preparing and submitting VAT returns. A keen attention to detail and excellent arithmetical skills.
