Hours: Mon - Thurs 9am - 5:30pm, Friday 9am - 4:30pm
Nicholas King Homes is an established housebuilder delivering quality homes across the Home Counties and South East. We are looking for a Management Accountant to join our four-person finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller.
About the role:
The Management Accountant will support the Group Financial Controller by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice to the board and joint venture partners. This process-driven role includes preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, site cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies.
This is a great opportunity to join an established, growing business and work closely with senior management in a varied and commercially focused role.
Key duties:
Monthly management accounts and financial reporting Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow Financial analysis and site cost reporting Statutory accounts and tax Supporting audits, funding proposals and joint venture reporting Improving financial controls and identifying cost efficiencies
About you:
Have solid management accounting experience - ideally 2+ years Strong knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential Is analytical, organised and commercially minded Excellent time management while also being flexible when tasks require Have strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail Is ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or working towards a qualification Have good communication skills and enjoys working as part of a small team Experience of COINS and/or housebuilding would be an advantage
