Software Engineer (TypeScript/React, .Net Desirable) Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. $80,000 - $150,000 + 15-25% Bonus, 36 days' vacation, private medical. Must haves:
- Can work fully office-based, 5 days in the Lafayette, LA.
- This role cannot offer Visa Sponsorship, you must have full working rights in the US.
- Full relocation support is offered, but you must already live in the US.
Your new company This leading Software provider are looking to bolster their engineering team hiring 3 Software Engineers with TypeScript experience. You will be working in their offices in the heart of Lafayette 5 days per week. You'll join a well-established business with decades experience taking them a market leading position. Building on an impressive 2025 they are on a growth journey from 200 - 300 headcount and there is particular investment in the Engineering team as they undertake multiple modernisation projects. Your new role You'll play a crucial role working on a migration of one of their core legacy systems from C# WPF into React/TypeScript. Microsoft .Net knowledge is useful to understand the legacy product, but the role is weighted towards the newer Front End skills. The company control the systems they build, meaning developers can be intrinsic with the user and understand their journey to build a better product. You will be working on real-time systems driven by large data sets, so Engineers with a background in R&D environments would fit well. As a rule they are more concerned about the ownership an Engineer has had on previous projects and versatility/agnostic nature to pick up new skills than being worried about one particular language or framework. This is a hands-on coding role within a small team set to grow from 2-6 Engineers. There is body of work which stretches over 5 years to get stuck into and this should be viewed as a career move, the staff tenure is excellent with many having 10+ years' service. What you'll need to succeed You will ideally have a degree in a STEM discipline, though this is not a necessity. We're looking for commercial experience working with TypeScript (ideally in a React environment). Secondary skills include C# .Net, either .Net Core or WPF/MVVM. You may have worked with other modern web frameworks such as Angular, Vue or Blazor. You must have cloud knowledge, they are platform agnostic so Azure, AWS or GCP are fine. Ideally we are looking for a strong working knowledge of REST APIs, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Deployment tools such as Terraform. What you'll get in return You'll work for a technology focused company building innovative products. There's a market leading rewards scheme in place including annual bonus between 15-25%, 36 days paid annual leave to be taken flexibly across the year, 10% match to 401k contributions, private healthcare/dental and long-term sick pay. There is parking on site and a modern office space with excellent amenities and the company supports relocation within the US and will assist with this financially.
