C# Software Engineer
£78ph, UMB, inside IR35 Initial 12-month contract x4 days onsite in Luton (1 day remote) SC must be in place priot to startintg this contract
Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a C# .NET Software Engineer to support the development of advanced electronic warfare and mission systems in Luton. This contract role offers the opportunity to work within a mature software development environment, delivering innovative defence technology with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop robust applications using C# .NET within a Windows environment Take ownership of complex tasks throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through to integration, testing and delivery Apply object-oriented design principles and software verification and validation techniques Develop and maintain web-based applications Contribute to automated testing frameworks and continuous integration and continuous delivery practices Work collaboratively with a skilled development team while delivering tasks independently and with minimal supervision
Job Requirements:
Strong experience in C# .NET software development, including web-based applications Sound understanding of object-oriented design and software development methodologies Experience across the full software development lifecycle Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and testing practices Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban Understanding of microservices architecture Full UK Security Check (SC) clearance
Desirable Skills:
Experience within the defence or electronic warfare sectors Familiarity with WPF, WinForms and Visual Studio Experience using DOORS, Cameo or Azure DevOps Knowledge of C++ development
Contract Details:
12-month contract opportunity Based in Luton Hybrid working arrangement, with four days on site and one day working remotely Inside IR35 Start subject to onboarding and security clearance requirements
