Are you looking for a role that will strengthen your technical accounting skills whilst giving you a clear pathway to broaden your responsibilities over time?
I'm working with a successful and growing business that's looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant who enjoys reporting, month-end and financial analysis, and wants to continue developing within a supportive environment.
The Opportunity
This role has a strong reporting focus, making it ideal for someone who enjoys producing accurate financial information and understanding the detail behind the numbers.
Working alongside experienced finance professionals, you'll become heavily involved in the month-end process, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting support and statutory accounting. As you build your knowledge of the business and continue your professional development, there will be opportunities to become involved in more commercially focused work and business partnering activities.
It's an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to establish strong technical foundations first before naturally progressing into a broader management accounting role.
What you'll be doing
Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting financial reporting Completing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances Assisting with budgeting and forecasting cycles Supporting VAT, CIS and statutory reporting requirements Assisting with the year-end audit process Producing financial reports and analysis for the wider finance team Supporting continuous improvements to finance processes and reporting Working closely with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely financial information
About you
You'll ideally be studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA and be looking for a role where you can continue developing your technical accounting knowledge.
You'll also bring:
Experience within a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant position Strong month-end reporting and reconciliation experience Good analytical skills and attention to detail Confidence working with Excel and finance systems A proactive approach and willingness to learn The desire to build a long-term career within management accounting
The environment
You'll be joining a collaborative finance team where development is genuinely encouraged. You'll work alongside experienced finance professionals who are keen to support your progression, giving you the opportunity to build your technical expertise before gradually taking on broader responsibilities as your experience grows.
