Theatre Logistics Support Assistant
Location: Birmingham (B31) Salary: £23,500 per annum ? Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break) Contract: Permanent
Brook Street is currently recruiting on behalf of a healthcare provider in Birmingham for a Theatre Logistics Support Assistant . This role is ideal for someone with a background in the medical or healthcare sector who can help ensure departments remain fully stocked with the equipment, consumables, and supplies required to deliver excellent patient care.
About You
Physically fit and able to safely move stock, equipment, and supplies as required Familiar with medical equipment and healthcare consumables Highly organised with strong attention to detail Able to carry out regular stock checks and place orders when required Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with hospital staff and suppliers Proactive problem-solver with a flexible approach to work Able to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
Key Duties
Distribute incoming stock and equipment to the appropriate departments Complete all necessary paperwork to accurately track stock movements and deliveries Follow strict systems, procedures, and compliance requirements Conduct regular stock checks and report shortages where necessary Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of stores and assigned areas Dispose of waste and packaging in line with housekeeping procedures Liaise with couriers and external suppliers regarding deliveries, collections, and returns Support the smooth day-to-day operation of theatre logistics and stock management
