About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Solutions Architect to work for our client within the Public Sector sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with very good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role based in such as Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Liverpool or Bristol.
Our client is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to support a major technology transformation programme covering ERP, CRM, CMS and Document Management solutions. Working closely with enterprise architects, delivery teams and senior stakeholders, you will define solution architectures, guide technology decisions and ensure alignment with strategic objectives. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping large-scale digital, data and technology services within a complex enterprise environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver solution architectures that meet business and user needs while aligning with organisational standards, policies and strategic objectives. Provide technical leadership and guidance on technology choices, ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable and cost effective Develop and maintain solution design artefacts, architecture documentation, roadmaps and transition states for complex programmes and projects. Collaborate with architects, project managers, business analysts and technical teams to ensure successful integration and implementation of solutions. Support architecture governance processes, providing assurance that solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards and target operating models.
About You
Proven experience working as a Solutions Architect within large-scale transformation programmes and complex enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF, with practical experience applying them to solution design. Extensive experience across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Azure and Power Platform. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, Azure services, containerisation, microservices, serverless technologies and networking design patterns. Experience designing ERP, CRM, CMS and enterprise integration solutions, with a strong understanding of API-first and service-led architecture approaches. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
