Our cilent, a well-established organization is seeking a Management Accountant who is ACA qualified and has management accounts experience to join their team.
This is a full-time office based role, supporting the Group Financial Controller by consolidating and analysing financial data, preparing reports, and providing strategic information and advice.
ROLE:
Preparing monthly management accounts, statutory accounts, budgets, profit and cashflow forecasts, site cost analysis reports, and providing recommendations for cost efficiencies. Review and reconcile nominal ledger (N/L) and control accounts regularly. Collaborate with the Accounts Payable Supervisor to ensure N/L, P/L, and supplier/subcontractor payments are current. Assist with supplier queries and supplier account reconciliations. Reconciliations for all GL accounts and investigating any differences. Prepare reports for management and joint venture partners (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statements). Prepare statutory accounts for all group operating companies. Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with auditors and external tax accountants. Prepare annual group overhead budgets and analyse variances as part of Management Accounts preparation.
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years in a professional accounting or auditing role and experience in a management accounting position. Well organised and flexible. Experience of overseeing a company’s financial control and reporting activities. A recognised professional qualification from a professional institution, such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), is preferred. Strong analytical skills along with knowledge of general ledger, budgeting, forecasting, accounting standards and compliance regulations are essential. Computer literate and confident with Excel and experience of COINS would be preferred.
