Production Laboratory Technician- East Grinstead
Working Hours
Shift work between 06:30am and 18:30pm , 9.25 hours per day Weekend work included
Pay Rate: £15.84 per hour
Position Summary
The Production Laboratory Technician will work within the production laboratory and aseptic dispensing room to manufacture antimicrobial susceptibility testing plates. The role requires strict adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of antimicrobial solutions in accordance with SOPs and production documentation, including weighing, dissolving, and dilution activities. Set up and monitor production dispensing pumps to ensure quality and timely production output. Manufacture ancillary solutions including media, buffers, and excipients. Perform compliance checks on laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including pipettes, balances, and extractors. Monitor and maintain stock levels of raw materials, consumables, intermediates, and equipment. Wash, clean, and autoclave laboratory equipment, pumps, and glassware. Use computer systems and software packages to process information and maintain records. Complete documentation accurately and maintain compliance with company procedures. Undertake additional duties within the scope of the role as required.
Candidate Requirements
A-level qualification or equivalent in a scientific subject. Previous laboratory experience. (desirable) Experience working within a manufacturing, production, or high-throughput environment. (desirable) Ability to follow standard operating procedures and health & safety guidelines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and teamwork skills.
