A welcoming specialist school in Chippenham, Wiltshire is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Worker to support children and young people with Autism, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and additional learning needs. This Behaviour Support Worker role offers invaluable experience working alongside experienced teachers, therapists, psychologists, and SEN professionals within a supportive and therapeutic school environment.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them develop positive behaviours and emotional resilience. You will implement behaviour support strategies, de-escalate challenging situations, encourage engagement in learning, and promote positive relationships with peers and staff. The Behaviour Support Worker will also support pupils in developing communication, social, and independence skills while creating a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment.

This Behaviour Support Worker position is ideal for individuals considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Teaching, Social Work, Youth Work, Counselling, Occupational Therapy, or other specialist support roles.
