Senior Social Worker - Children's Disability Service
Leicestershire County Council Location: Coalville office base, countywide service Working Arrangement: Hybrid Hours: 37 hours per week Pay Rate: £38 per hour umbrella
Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children's Disability Service at Leicestershire County Council .
This is a countywide service with an office base in Coalville . The role offers hybrid working, with office attendance required when on duty and for team development, meetings and other essential activities.

Within the Children's Disability Service, the Empowered Futures model promotes choice, independence and inclusion for children and young people with disabilities as they prepare for adulthood. Pathway to Adulthood planning is central to the service, supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes as they transition into adult life.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Completing high-quality Child and Family Assessments for children and young people with disabilities and complex needs. Managing Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Children in Care (CIC) plans. Undertaking statutory social work responsibilities, assessments and interventions. Completing Mental Capacity Act assessments where appropriate. Supporting Pathway to Adulthood planning through the Empowered Futures framework. Working collaboratively with children, families and multi-agency professionals to promote safety, wellbeing and positive outcomes. Applying Signs of Safety principles to assessment, planning and review processes. Promoting independence, inclusion and positive outcomes for children and young people with disabilities. Managing risk effectively and ensuring children's needs and welfare remain at the centre of practice. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring statutory responsibilities are completed to a high standard.
Essential Requirements:
Recognised Social Work qualification such as CQSW, DipSW, BA or MA Social Work . Social Work England (SWE) registration . At least 3 years' post-qualification experience working in Social Work roles within a UK English Local Authority . Strong experience of statutory children's social work , including safeguarding and care planning. Experience working within CIN, CP and CIC frameworks. Knowledge and experience of children with disabilities and complex needs . Good understanding of child development, safeguarding and risk management. Experience completing statutory assessments and developing effective intervention plans. Understanding of transition planning and Pathway to Adulthood for young people with disabilities. Strong collaborative, strengths-based and relationship-focused practice. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle .
