Senior Quantity Surveyor | Construction Claims, Dispute Resolution & Expert Services Location : Manchester or West Yorkshire Salary : £70,000 to £90,000 + package & bonus An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multi-disciplinary construction consultancy at their offices in either Manchester or West Yorkshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy team, providing a variety of specialist services including dispute prevention and avoidance, risk analysis, contractual advice, delay analysis, dispute resolution, project turnaround and expert witness to a growing list of clients within the building and infrastructure sectors. This would be an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor keen to pursue a career in construction claims and dispute resolution work. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of my clients team, providing advice to a variety of projects including the construction of new sports stadiums, offices, mixed use developments, government buildings, hospitals and research and development facilities within the science and technology sectors. Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
Reviewing and providing advice on construction contracts Assisting clients to ensure they avoid disputes by offering professional, commercially focused advice Assisting clients on all issues relating to loss and delay Work closely with internal delay analysts to provide assistance on contentious and non-contentious time related matters Provide coaching and training to clients on commercial and time related matters Provide support to my clients management team, as required Offering mentoring and support to junior surveyors within the team
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:
Already completed or working towards a MSc in Construction Law Considerable experience working in a main contracting or consultancy environment within the UK Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in dispute avoidance or resolution and a keen interest in increasing and developing understanding in the field
