Commercial Manager
Our client is a well-established infrastructure services business delivering major projects and long-term framework agreements across the UK's regulated utilities and critical infrastructure sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial delivery of key framework contracts, managing a team of commercial professionals while supporting the successful delivery of complex capital investment programmes.This role would suit an established Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to step into a senior leadership position within a highly regulated project environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of long-term framework contracts and capital delivery programmes. Manage, mentor and develop a team of commercial professionals. Ensure effective administration and governance of NEC contracts. Drive commercial performance, profitability and contract compliance across multiple projects. Provide strategic commercial support to operational and project delivery teams. Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities. Prepare and present commercial reports to senior stakeholders. Support procurement, subcontract management, contract negotiations and change control processes. Build and maintain strong client relationships across framework environments. Contribute to business planning, forecasting and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor position. Strong NEC contract knowledge and practical application. Experience delivering projects within regulated or framework-driven environments. Backgrounds considered include:
Utilities Water Rail Highways Telecommunications Energy Power Infrastructure Civil Engineering Infrastructure
Demonstrable experience managing commercial teams and driving performance. Strong commercial, financial and contractual acumen. Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing skills. Relevant degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
