Business Systems Analyst – Insurance Systems
Location: Essex (Hybrid)
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000 + bonus & benefits
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Join a well-established insurance software provider supporting the London Market Insurance sector. This is a technical Business Systems Analyst role focused on insurance systems, SQL, and software configuration. It is not a traditional business analyst position.
About the Role
You will work closely with insurance clients and internal technical teams to configure, analyse, and support specialist insurance software used across the full insurance lifecycle. This role suits someone with strong SQL skills and a background in technical analysis or development.
Key Responsibilities
Configure insurance software systems to meet client requirements Build, maintain, and optimise SQL queries for reporting and database updates Analyse insurance systems, workflows, and processes across the insurance lifecycle Produce technical documentation and MIS reports using Crystal Reports and MS Report Builder Support system implementation, testing, and delivery Liaise with London Market insurance clients and internal technical teams
Requirements
3+ years’ experience in the London Insurance Market Strong knowledge of insurance systems and the full insurance lifecycle Advanced SQL experience (queries, reporting, database updates) Experience in system configuration and systems analysis Background as a developer or technical analyst Strong problem-solving and communication skills
