Our client is looking for someone to step into a high-impact role where you will help shape a portfolio-led underwriting proposition within a dynamic construction insurance business, using data, pricing insight and performance analytics to drive smarter decision-making and long-term profitability. You will be responsible for evaluating and managing delegated authority and portfolio structures, developing underwriting strategies at a portfolio level, and using detailed performance analysis to optimise growth, balance risk, and improve returns across a diversified book. You will also play a key role in building and refining portfolio frameworks, monitoring performance through KPIs such as loss ratios and rate adequacy, and contributing to forecasting, scenario analysis and stress testing to support business planning and governance. This opportunity is ideal for actuaries looking to move closer to the commercial side of the business, particularly those with experience in portfolio analytics, pricing, delegated authority, or reinsurance/treaty environments.
