Your new company An excitingopportunity has arisen for an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join aleading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering some of the UK'smost complex and high-profile infrastructure and building projects.Working as partof a collaborative and highly experienced team, you will play a key role inleading the design and delivery of electrical building services solutionsacross a diverse portfolio of projects within sectors such as defence,transportation, commercial, healthcare, education, and public infrastructure. This positionoffers a clear pathway to further leadership responsibilities, technicalexcellence, and client-facing project delivery. Your new role Lead the design and coordination of electrical building services systems, including: -LV power distribution -Lighting and emergency lighting -Small power systems -Fire alarm systems -Security and access control systems -Earthing and lightning protection -Manage and mentor junior and intermediate engineers. -Act as a technical authority across projects and design reviews. -Manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation. -Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural professionals. -Engage with clients and stakeholders, developing long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for repeat business. -Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practice. -Support business development activities including proposal preparation and bid submissions. What you'll need to succeed -Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. -Significant experience delivering electrical building services design projects within a consultancy environment. -Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and relevant British Standards. -Experience using industry-standard design software such as Amtech, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar. -Proven ability to manage project delivery and client relationships. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Desirable:-CharteredEngineer status or working towards chartership. -Experienceworking on large-scale multidisciplinary projects. -Knowledge ofsustainable and low-carbon design principles. -Experiencemanaging and developing engineering teams.
