We are recruiting for an experienced Cisco Network Engineer to join an established managed services team supporting a number of key customers.
This is a remote, home-based Network Engineer role with occasional travel to customer sites. You will provide senior-level remote support and deliver projects across Cisco routing, switching, wireless and security technologies. If you are a CCNP-certified engineer who enjoys resolving complex issues, working closely with customers and keeping up with Cisco technology, this could be the role for you.
Key responsibilities
Provide remote support across a range of Cisco network environments Manage and resolve complex incidents, service requests and problems in line with SLAs Act as an escalation point for high-priority customer issues Troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, wireless and network security issues Complete root cause analysis and clearly document resolutions Deliver and support Cisco network projects Work closely with customers, Cisco and third-party suppliers Mentor junior members of the technical team Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota Provide occasional onsite support when required
Essential experience
Current Cisco CCNP certification Previous experience as a Network Engineer within a service provider or MSP environment Strong Cisco routing and switching experience Good knowledge of Cisco enterprise wireless and network security Experience delivering Cisco projects within customer environments Strong customer-facing, communication and documentation skills Comfortable working independently in a remote Network Engineer position Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally
