Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist – HPB & Breast
We are currently seeking an experienced Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist to join a leading NHS Trust for an initial 3-month assignment , with an immediate start available .
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled consultant with substantial experience managing both HPB and Breast malignancies within an NHS setting.
Essential Requirements
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
Extensive NHS experience at Consultant level in Medical Oncology.
Proven expertise in managing HPB and Breast cancer pathways .
Ability to independently lead outpatient clinics, systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) services, MDT participation, and inpatient oncology care.
Strong multidisciplinary working experience within established cancer services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality consultant-led Medical Oncology services.
Manage patients with HPB and Breast cancers across outpatient and inpatient settings.
Participate in and contribute to relevant MDT meetings.
Develop and oversee treatment plans, including systemic therapies.
Provide clinical leadership and support to the wider oncology team.
Contract Details
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Initial 3 months (extension potential available)
Hours: Full-time preferred
Rate: Negotiable based on experience and availability
