Job Description: We are looking for a HCPC registered Band 6 Locum Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Oxford Health NHS Trust. This remote position focuses on adult patients, and experience with adult caseloads and dysphagia (compromised swallow) is essential; candidates with only paediatric experience will not be considered. The successful applicant will play a key role in managing their own clinical caseload, leading clinical projects and developments in collaboration with Band 7 SLTs, and coordinating the Speech and Language Therapy service across community hospitals, nursing and residential care homes, patients' homes, and community clinics. The role involves significant responsibility in providing high-quality care and contributing to the advancement of the service.
What your responsibilities will be for this Speech and Language Therapy role?
As a Band 6 Locum Remote Speech and Language Therapist will manage their own caseload of adult patients, including those with dysphagia, and will collaborate with Band 7 Speech and Language Therapists on clinical projects and service developments. Responsibilities also include coordinating the delivery of the Speech and Language Therapy service across various settings such as community hospitals, care homes, patients' homes, and community clinics. The role requires high-level clinical skills, effective remote working capabilities, and active contribution to team efforts to enhance service provision and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
HCPC registration is mandatory.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Proven experience with adult caseloads and dysphagia.
Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
