Enterprise Architect – Digital Transformation
Contract: 16 weeks
We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a short-term digital transformation engagement with a UK organisation.
Working as part of a small, collaborative transformation team, you will assess the organisation’s current digital and technology landscape, identify transformation opportunities and help refine its Digital & IT Strategy.
This is not simply a high-level advisory role. We need an Enterprise Architect who is comfortable getting into the detail, carrying out architectural discovery and then translating findings into clear, pragmatic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the current technology landscape, including systems, integrations, hosting and data flows.
- Assess architectural maturity, constraints, risks and opportunities.
- Participate in interviews and technical workshops with IT, digital and business stakeholders.
- Contribute architectural input to the current-state digital maturity assessment.
- Review previous digital delivery, including design decisions, delivery approaches and technical implementation.
- Identify architectural constraints, underlying issues and governance gaps.
- Assess alignment with relevant government digital standards, open standards and accessibility requirements.
- Review and refine the organisation’s Digital & IT Strategy from an architectural perspective.
- Identify gaps relating to technology choices, architecture, governance, security and delivery readiness.
- Help develop a sequenced and costed digital transformation roadmap.
- Ensure recommendations are technically feasible, scalable and aligned with good practice.
- Identify architectural dependencies, enablers and risks.
- Support assessment of the organisation’s cyber posture alongside a Cyber Specialist.
- Present architectural findings and recommendations clearly to senior and executive stakeholders.
Experience Required
You must have significant hands-on Enterprise Architecture experience .
