Pulse Nursing is looking for skilled and experienced band 5 and 6 registered ITU (INTENSIVE CARE UNIT) nurses to join our team in Coventry.

In this current opportunity, you'll enjoy the flexibility to plan ahead by booking shifts in advance, giving you greater control over your schedule. We offer various shift patterns, including full-time equivalent hours in Coventry, with competitive pay ranging from £20.00 to £30.70 per hour.
Intensive Care Nurse responsibilities include:
Plan, implement and evaluate care
Assist patients with their activities of daily living
Regular assessment and monitoring of patient’s vital signs
Perform different types of observations and use of different monitoring systems
Use and ensure working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusions pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
Administer medication via different routes
Care for patient receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
Work as part of a team
Make appropriate referrals and Prepare patient for discharge or transfer
Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
Valid NMC registration
At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU Sector
Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment.
Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one.
Right to work within the UK – proof will be required.
