Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled clinical pharmacist to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care within a busy hospital environment, supporting the pharmacy service during a period of maternity leave cover.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimise medicines management, support safe prescribing practices, and contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care across a range of clinical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and departments.
Review prescriptions and deliver expert advice on medicines optimisation.
Support the safe, effective, and cost-efficient use of medicines.
Undertake medicines reconciliation and contribute to discharge planning processes.
Work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied healthcare professionals.
Participate in clinical audits, service improvement initiatives, and governance activities.
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with professional and regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
Have previous hospital pharmacy experience.
Hold a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrate strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Be confident working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Possess excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Have experience delivering patient-focused clinical pharmacy services within a hospital setting.
