Description
Key responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end development of bespoke product ranges, from initial concept through to a fully developed commercial product Identify market gaps, emerging trends and new category opportunities Work closely with Account Managers to understand customer needs, sales performance, competitors and market dynamics Cost-engineer products and negotiate with suppliers to achieve target costs and margins Manage product development at pace, troubleshooting issues and keeping projects on track Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance, training and development Continually look for opportunities to improve products, processes and ways of working
Profile
We're looking for a commercially minded and highly organised Product Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple projects from concept through to launch.
You'll combine creativity with strong commercial awareness, taking ownership of decisions, solving problems proactively, and ensuring exceptional attention to detail throughout the development process.
A natural collaborator, you'll build strong relationships across internal teams, customers, and suppliers, while also providing leadership, mentoring colleagues, and positively influencing those around you. You will have people management experience and excellent communication skills with the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Experience developing products for major retail customers, including grocers and discount retailers, would be highly advantageous along with experience managing overseas supplier relationships.
We are looking for someone who has a real passion for consumer products, and looking for a role where you can have a real influence on both product and strategy.
