Annual Salary: £210-220 per day Location: East London Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm Start Date: 17 August 2026
Join Big Creative Academy as a Visual Arts Tutor (Film & Media) and inspire young people aged 16–19 in Walthamstow. This role is perfect for a creative educator or industry practitioner passionate about shaping the next generation of talent in the creative industries.
Day-to-day of the role:
Plan and deliver high-quality teaching across Visual Arts programmes, focusing on Film, Graphics, and Photography. Assess and track student progress using both formative and summative methods. Provide pastoral and tutorial support to learners. Contribute to course development and curriculum planning. Support enrichment activities, including trips and employer engagement. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievement. Promote safeguarding, equality, and positive student behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
Degree in a Visual Arts-related subject. Experience teaching or working with 16–19 learners. Strong practical skills across Visual Arts disciplines. Ability to deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment. Understanding of safeguarding and supporting young people.
Desirable:
Teaching qualification (or working towards one). Industry experience in Film, Media, Graphics, or Photography. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud. Experience supporting student progress, attendance, and wellbeing.
