Building Services Engineer (Electrical Bias)

About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and ambitious Building Services Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to progress into an Electrical Supervisor role and play a key part in developing and expanding our electrical services division. Initially, the role will focus on electrical maintenance, testing and inspection, compliance activities, and supporting projects, with a clear progression path into a supervisory position.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems. Attend reactive maintenance tasks and diagnose faults. Undertake electrical testing, inspection and certification works. Complete remedial works arising from inspections. Support electrical installations, refurbishments and small projects. Ensure all work complies with current regulations and company procedures. Complete service reports and compliance documentation accurately. Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams. Support the future development of the electrical division.
Essential Qualifications
Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical Installation (or equivalent). City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. Full UK Driving Licence.
Essential Experience
Commercial building services experience. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience carrying out testing and inspection. Good understanding of electrical compliance requirements. Experience working within a mobile engineering role. Strong communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
ECS Gold Card. Experience within M&E or building services maintenance. Experience supporting projects and small works. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience. Knowledge of wider building services systems.
