Our client is a leading engineering training provider delivering Level 3, Level 4 and Level 5 apprenticeships, higher education and professional development programmes. They are seeking a permanent Engineering Lecturer to join their Hull training centre, with travel to sites in Grimsby and Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineering professional to inspire and develop the next generation of engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, technically focused training to apprentices and adult learners Teach subjects including engineering design, engineering mathematics and mechanical principles Provide instruction in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical and electronic principles Support learning in automation, robotics, programmable logic controllers and production engineering Develop learners' understanding of quality, process improvement and practical engineering applications Prepare learning materials, assess progress and provide constructive feedback Support learners in achieving their academic, technical and career objectives Travel between the Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe training centres as required
Job Requirements:
A degree in mechanical engineering, engineering or a related discipline Significant experience in mechanical engineering or a relevant engineering industry environment Strong technical, IT and engineering problem-solving skills Understanding of engineering design, mathematics, mechanical principles and production engineering Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills A genuine interest in training, mentoring and developing others A full driving licence and access to a vehicle, as travel between sites is required Willingness to complete a Cert Ed or PGCE, with training and support provided where required
