Management Accountant Stoke-on-Trent £32,000–£45,000 Permanent Full-timeWe are recruiting a nearly or newly qualified Management Accountant to join the internal finance team of a growing, multi-entity professional services group. This is a broad internal finance position offering exposure to monthly management accounts, board reporting, budgeting, forecasting and group financial reporting. The RoleWorking closely with senior management and key stakeholders across the group, you will take responsibility for delivering accurate and meaningful financial information. Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing monthly management accounts across multiple group entities Completing month-end procedures, journals, accruals and prepayments Producing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating discrepancies Preparing management information and reporting packs for senior leadership Supporting budgeting, cash-flow forecasting and financial planning Assisting with year-end and statutory accounts across the group Preparing and submitting VAT returns Providing departmental and performance reporting Supporting day-to-day bookkeeping requirements where necessary Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting Supporting, coaching and developing junior members of the finance team Building effective relationships with operational and senior stakeholders
About You To be considered, you will ideally:
Be nearly or newly qualified through ACA, ACCA or CIMA Have experience preparing monthly management accounts Understand month-end processes, journals and balance sheet reconciliations Be comfortable working across multiple companies, departments or cost centres Have strong Excel and accounting-system skills Be able to analyse financial information and explain it clearly to non-finance stakeholders Be confident managing deadlines within a fast-paced environment Have strong communication and relationship-building skills Be interested in developing and supporting more junior colleagues
