Client Manager / Practice Accountant
Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Bonus
Location: Office-based (with flexibility available after probation)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (4:00pm finish every Friday)

Are you an experienced Practice Accountant or Client Manager looking for your next opportunity? Our client is a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice with an excellent reputation and a growing client base. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to welcome a talented accountant to their friendly and supportive team.
With a turnover of approximately £800k and a diverse portfolio of more than 400 limited company clients, alongside sole traders, partnerships, charities and not-for-profit organisations, this is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career within a modern practice that embraces technology and values its people.
The Role
You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering a broad range of accounting and advisory services while building strong, lasting client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Preparing personal tax returns Completing VAT returns and ensuring Making Tax Digital compliance Managing client relationships and providing day-to-day accounting advice Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience Supporting clients with cloud accounting software and improving efficiencies
This is a varied general practice role with minimal involvement in payroll or bookkeeping, allowing you to focus on higher-value client work.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
At least 3-4 years' experience working within an accountancy practice AAT qualification as a minimum (part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA candidates are also encouraged to apply) Experience preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns and personal tax returns Knowledge of IRIS and Xero (preferred) Excellent communication, organisation and client management skills A proactive, positive and professional approach You'll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and be keen to contribute to the firm's continued success.
