Associate Director Quantity Surveyor - London
A specialist London cost consultancy operating exclusively within the prime residential market is seeking an experienced Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to join their senior team. This is an opportunity for an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to work on some of London's most prestigious private residential schemes, including complex refurbishments, substantial private homes and luxury developments with project values reaching up to £100m.
The successful Associate Director Quantity Surveyor will take commercial leadership of key commissions from initial feasibility through to completion. Working directly with private clients, architects, interior designers and specialist contractors, the Associate Director Quantity Surveyor will provide high-level cost advice while protecting budgets and supporting the exceptional standards of finish expected within the luxury residential market.
This position would suit an established Associate Director Quantity Surveyor who combines strong technical delivery with excellent client management. Alongside overseeing projects, the Associate Director Quantity Surveyor will mentor junior colleagues, strengthen client relationships and help maintain the consultancy's reputation within the prime London residential sector.
Associate Director Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities:
Leading major high-end residential commissions from inception to final account
Overseeing detailed cost plans, budgets and feasibility advice
Advising private clients on procurement, tendering and commercial strategy
Managing valuations, variations, change control and financial reporting
Negotiating complex contractor and specialist package final accounts
Maintaining relationships with private clients and leading design teams
Reviewing project delivery and supporting junior Quantity Surveyors
Contributing to repeat business and the continued development of client relationships
Associate Director Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements:
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
MRICS qualified
Extensive UK PQS or cost consultancy experience
Strong high-end residential, luxury refurbishment or prime residential experience
Proven ability to lead significant commissions independently
Detailed knowledge of JCT contracts and bespoke procurement arrangements
