We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Assistant to join a company based in Milton Keynes. Our client are the market leader within their industry. Please note, this role is a temporary FTC position for 2-3 months, however, could be extended or lead to permanent employment.
Location: Milton Keynes.
Working Hours: 08:00am - 16:00pm, Monday to Friday, fully office based (NO remote working).
Contract Type : FTC - 2-3 months, however, could be extended or lead to permanent employment.
Start Date: ASAP!
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and semi experienced Lab assistant to support with our client's daily operations within their laboratory. The candidate will assist in maintaining good laboratory practices and ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist lab technicians to store and organize samples properly. Dispose of chemical waste safely. Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed. Clean and organize lab glassware in designated areas. Assist with samples preparations for testing. Supporting with data analysing. Completing data entry duties, and updating internal departments. Working to deadlines, ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a lab environment (preferred). A-level or degree level within sciences, preferred but not essential. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Knowledge of basic lab equipment and safety procedures would be preferred, but full training will be provided. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Good communication and teamwork skills. Comfortable with handling chemicals.
