The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business on a 3-6 month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role will play a key part in supporting the finance function, with primary responsibility for payroll management as well as assisting with management accounts and financial reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly add value to an established team.
Key Responsibilities Payroll
Consolidate and review payroll hours information submitted by the Payroll Administrator. Act as the main point of contact for the external payroll bureau. Ensure payroll information is accurate and submitted within required deadlines. Investigate and resolve payroll and wage-related queries from employees and management. Support payroll reconciliation activities and maintain accurate payroll records. Ensure compliance with payroll processes and relevant legislation.
Finance & Reporting
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts. Support the production of management reporting and financial analysis. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow reporting. Support month-end and year-end finance processes. Work closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision-making.
About You
Qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous experience managing or overseeing payroll processes. Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Confident liaising with external payroll providers and internal stakeholders. Strong Excel skills and experience with finance systems. Able to work independently and manage priorities within a contract environment.
