Academics, an established Education Agency, are acting as an agency and are recruiting a Physics Teacher to work on a temporary, flexible ongoing supply basis across a variety of secondary schools throughout Doncaster.
This Physics Teacher opportunity is designed for teachers who want to use their specialist subject knowledge whilst enjoying the flexibility of supply. Candidates who are also happy to undertake general secondary cover will have access to a wider range of opportunities across Doncaster.
Position: Physics Teacher Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply Pay: £140 - £195 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay) Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you
About the Role
Working as a Physics Teacher in Doncaster, you will deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping pupils develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and understanding of the physical world.
The Physics Teacher role would suit experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers seeking flexible opportunities across Doncaster. Where specialist Physics teaching is unavailable, you may also be considered for general Science or wider secondary cover depending on your experience.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging Physics lessons across KS3 and KS4 Support pupils' scientific knowledge and understanding Encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for Science Adapt teaching to meet different pupil needs Maintain positive classroom behaviour and routines Undertake general secondary cover where appropriate Follow school safeguarding and curriculum procedures
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) Previous experience teaching Physics or relevant secondary Science Strong classroom management and communication skills Flexible and adaptable approach Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willingness to obtain one
