Role Overview
An experienced Electrical Package Manager is required to join our client's team on a site-based basis in Blyth, UK. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate electrical building services works on major data centre projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain effective communication with the client and broader project stakeholders. Package Management: Direct electrical installation activities, ensuring full alignment with project specifications, quality benchmarks, and safety standards. Installation Sequencing: Coordinate with the project team to sequence electrical installations-including containment, cabling, power systems, and associated services-to hit key programme milestones. Documentation & Compliance: Draft and review electrical method statements, risk assessments, technical submittals, RFIs, and inspection records. Sub-contractor & Vendor Coordination: Liaise with electrical sub-contractors, suppliers, and vendors to drive smooth execution of the works package. Programme & Change Control: Track the four-week look-ahead programme, document scope changes, support monthly valuations, and contribute to the final account. Testing, Commissioning & Handover: Compile O&M, testing, commissioning, and BCAR documentation; ensure as-built records accurately reflect site installations and support project handover.
Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of electrical package management experience within a construction contracting environment. Industry Background: Previous experience delivering electrical packages on data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects is preferred. Technical Software: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project. Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of electrical building services systems, along with exceptional organisation, time management, and communication skills.
