Lead Manufacturing Engineer Location: Clevedon, North Somerset Salary: Up to £60,000 + Bonus Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent Working Pattern: On-Site The Role We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to take a lead role within the manufacturing engineering team. You will lead a team of Project Manufacturing Engineers and oversee projects from engineering through to production, with a focus on NPI, manufacturing readiness, industrialisation and continuous improvement . The role involves working closely with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain to make sure new and existing products can be manufactured effectively, on time and to the required standard. Key Responsibilities
Lead, support and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers. Manage manufacturing engineering projects from concept through to production. Lead NPI, ETO, sustaining engineering and improvement projects . Ensure products and processes are ready for manufacture. Identify and manage manufacturing and production risks. Improve manufacturing processes using Lean methods. Manage project priorities, resources, costs and timescales. Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain. Support manufacturing strategy and continuous improvement across the site.
About YouWe are looking for someone with:
Strong experience in Manufacturing Engineering . Experience leading, mentoring or developing other engineers. Experience delivering manufacturing or NPI projects. Good knowledge of industrialisation and manufacturing readiness . Experience with Lean manufacturing methods such as 6S, Kaizen, PFMEA, VSM or TPM . Strong project management and problem-solving skills. An understanding of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assemblies. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience working within a structured manufacturing environment.
