Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist to join the Department in East London. This role offers the opportunity to work within a specialist service providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal, diabetic, and complex foot and lower limb conditions.
Working alongside Extended Scope Podiatrists and multidisciplinary teams, the successful candidate will manage a specialist caseload and contribute to the development of high-quality, evidence-based podiatry services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver specialist assessment and treatment for patients with complex MSK, diabetic, and high-risk foot conditions.
Manage an autonomous caseload across hospital, community clinic, and domiciliary settings.
Provide clinical leadership and support to Band 5 Podiatrists and junior members of the team.
Contribute to service development, clinical audit, governance, and implementation of best practice.
Deliver education and training to healthcare professionals, GPs, and allied health colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree or Diploma in Podiatry.
Current HCPC registration.
Evidence of specialist knowledge and experience in MSK and diabetes.
Substantial post-registration clinical experience within podiatry.
Experience managing complex caseloads independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
