Advanced Technical Trainer – Rail Engineering
Location: Reaseheath Engineering Apprenticeship Academy (REAA)
Salary: £28,337 – £39,068 (L6–L14) + Welcome Bonus up to £5,000
Hours: 37 hours per week

About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Advanced Technical Trainer in Rail Engineering .
You will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and assessment to apprentices attending on block release, supporting them to develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the rail industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver Rail Engineering apprenticeship training aligned to industry standards Facilitate engaging theory lessons, practical sessions, and assessments Carry out vocational assessments both on-site and in the workplace Support and mentor apprentices throughout their learning journey Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery Maintain high standards of health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance Build positive relationships with employers and stakeholders
The Ideal Candidate:
Industry experience within rail engineering, maintenance, or operations A Level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline Strong teaching, training, or mentoring experience (qualification desirable, not essential) Excellent communication and organisational skills Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards A genuine passion for supporting learners and developing future talent
