Quality Engineer Dudley, West Midlands £35,000 per annum Monday to Friday | 8:00am – 4:30pm Permanent Position The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a well-established industrial manufacturing business in the West Midlands. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining compliance with quality standards, supporting audits, investigating non-conformances, and driving continuous improvement across the business. This role would suit an experienced Quality Engineer, Compliance Engineer, or Quality professional with a strong background in industrial manufacturing environments. Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management systems. Conduct and support internal audits across manufacturing and business processes. Assist with customer, regulatory, and third-party audits. Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions. Lead problem-solving activities using recognised quality tools and methodologies. Support continuous improvement projects across production and quality functions. Monitor compliance standards and provide guidance to operational teams. Assist the Quality Manager with quality assurance and compliance activities. Produce and maintain quality documentation and records. Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the business. Candidate RequirementsEssential
Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Compliance Engineer, or similar quality-focused role. Strong industrial manufacturing background. Experience working within engineering, manufacturing, machining, forging, automotive, aerospace, heavy industry, or similar production environments. Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality standards. Experience using quality tools such as:
8D PFMEA APQP PPAP/PPS
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable
Internal auditing experience. Aerospace manufacturing experience. Continuous improvement experience. HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality disciplines. Benefits
