What you’ll be taking ownership of as Electrical Maintenance Engineer:
Carrying out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems, installations, and equipment on a central London campus. Responding promptly to reactive maintenance requests and resolve faults efficiently to minimise disruption to university operations. Performing inspection, testing, and maintenance of systems to ensure statutory and legal compliance (e.g. emergency lighting, fixed wire testing, PAT testing). Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across a wide range of systems, including distribution boards, lighting, small power, and control panels. Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and university safety procedures. Maintaining up-to-date records of all statutory testing, maintenance, and repairs using the university’s CAFM (Computer-Aided Facilities Management) app. Forming part of the dedicated-on call engineering team with scheduled / rota on call weeks.
