Berry Recruitment are NOW hiring for a committed and experienced Temporary Lab Operations Assistant to work for a company in Milton Park
Role: Temporary Lab Operations Assistant
Salary: £13.85 per hour
Location: Milton Park
Hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities of the Operations Assistant:
Undertake routine work in all our sites including: Autoclaving Glassware cleaning Waste disposal General tidy up Processing goods in items ensuring appropriate steps are taken with regards COSHH, stock control and communication with the broader team Ensure stock is always available for the team, as well as monitoring inventory alongside the team to ensure stocks are maintained Have a proactive approach to health and safety, ensuring best practices are adhered to Support with coordinating the deep cleaning of equipment as well as the weekly cleaning schedule with lab users Support with troubleshooting facilities issues together with other members of the operations team
About you:
Academic Qualification: Mathematics GCSE grade C or above Organisational Excellence: Strong attention to detail for maintaining accurate inventory records and following laboratory protocols Independent & Collaborative Working: Ability to work self-sufficiently while effectively contributing to team objectives Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication for lab coordination and cross-functional collaboration Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift/carry heavy items and maintain prolonged standing positions during laboratory work Technical Proficiency: Competent with Microsoft Office applications Team Orientation: Build relationships across multidisciplinary teams Adaptability: Be able to adjust to the changing needs of others and pick up new tasks as needed
