Trial Balance are delighted to be working with a well-established and successful accountancy practice in Exeter, looking to recruit a Qualified Accountant to join its growing team. Offering a varied client portfolio, genuine responsibility and excellent career development opportunities, this is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious accountancy practice accountant looking for their next challenge.
As a Qualified Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
- Reviewing VAT returns and assisting with bookkeeping assignments where required
- Managing your own portfolio of clients, providing practical advice and responding to day-to-day queries
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
- Working closely with Managers and Partners on a range of client assignments and advisory projects
The successful Qualified Accountant candidate will:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
- Possess strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
- Be an excellent communicator, confident building long-term client relationships
- Be well organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple deadlines
- Have the ambition to continue developing their career within a successful and growing practice
