Excellent opportunity for an experienced hands-on Project Engineer, for an award-winning company, where you will deliver highly technical customer projects across cloud, infrastructure and modern workplace technologies. Here, you will work closely with the Solutions Architect and Technical Project Manager, to implement secure, stable solutions, ensuring smooth transition into Managed Services. Office based, in Sheffield.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver customer projects across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows Server, networking and security Configure, deploy, test and validate solutions against technical and security requirements Implement approved designs, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient and supportable Troubleshoot complex issues during delivery and proactively raise risks and dependencies Produce high-quality technical documentation and support service handover into Managed Services Collaborate with architects and project managers to deliver projects on time and to specification Contribute to improving delivery standards, tooling and templates
Required Skills & Expertise:
Proven experience delivering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and infrastructure projects Strong knowledge of Azure networking, identity, security and virtualisation Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Hyper-V or Nutanix) Experience implementing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Remote Desktop Services (RDS) or similar technologies such as Citrix Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and technical documentation skills Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams Ability to work collaboratively and be highly customer-focused. Proactive in communicating progress, risks and issues. Committed to delivering high-quality, well-documented solutions. Curious, adaptable and focused on continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience:
Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-140, MS-102) Experience in an MSP or IT services environment Knowledge of networking and firewall platforms such as Meraki or UniFi Experience with service transition or operational handover
