Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity SurveyorLocation: Gatwick Airport & Central London (1 day per week)Sector: Infrastructure / Aviation ProjectsWe are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a growing delivery team supporting a diverse portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects at Gatwick Airport. Projects range from small-value works through to major capital schemes.Working within an established commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost control, risk management, and supply chain administration.Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial processes and contractual correspondence. Prepare valuations, applications for payment and cost/value reconciliations. Monitor project costs, forecasting, cash flow and budgets. Support risk and value management activities. Administer subcontractor procurement and contract management. Produce commercial reports and payment certificates. Liaise with project teams, clients and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contractual, commercial, health & safety and environmental requirements.
Requirements
Previous Quantity Surveying experience within construction, infrastructure or civil engineering projects. Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen. Good understanding of construction contracts and contract administration. Experience with cost reporting, forecasting and subcontractor management. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively within a collaborative project environment.
Desirable
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. Membership of, or working towards membership of, RICS or CICES. Experience working on airport, infrastructure or major project environments.
