An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly expanding business delivering major food retail fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK.

This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate with some post-graduate experience or an individual with around three years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or commercial environment who wants exposure to major retail projects and increased responsibility.

The Role
Supporting the Commercial and Project Delivery teams, you will be involved in the full project lifecycle from pricing and tendering through to project completion and commercial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Calculate and prepare detailed quotations. Liaise closely with clients to understand project requirements and develop commercially competitive quotations. Manage commercial reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). Assist with project management activities following contract award. Monitor project performance to ensure delivery on time and within budget. Coordinate job receipting and invoicing processes. Raise and manage purchase orders. Liaise with suppliers regarding materials, equipment availability and delivery schedules. Maintain internal project trackers and reporting systems. Support the commercial team with cost control and project financial management. Develop relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
What We're Looking For Essential
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline, or equivalent qualification. Approximately 1 year of post-graduate experience, or Around 3 years' experience working within a Quantity Surveying or commercial environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Good commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
