Key Responsibilities
Support children and young people whose care plan is long-term, guiding them through to independence.
Carry out regular visits to children in their homes, building positive relationships while ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
Help children achieve permanence in a timely manner, maintain family relationships, and understand their life story.
Prepare clear, high-quality reports for care planning and decision-making, ensuring all work meets statutory guidelines and strict deadlines.
Drive care plans forward in close collaboration with your Line Manager, Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs), Virtual Schools, LAC Health, and Family Support Workers.
Requirements & Key Criteria
Experience: Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience , including direct experience working with children in long-term care.
Professional Registration: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
