Salary: £44,600 per annum Location: North Lanarkshire Shift Pattern: Backshift
Monday to Friday, 1:00pm to 9:30pm Flexibility required for occasional weekend work Overtime paid at 1.75x standard rate Weekly pay
The Opportunity
An established and growing food manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Engineer to join its maintenance team at a modern production facility in North Lanarkshire.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of production equipment through planned maintenance, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities in line with maintenance schedules and company procedures Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Monitor and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring stock is stored safely and correctly Communicate effectively with operational teams regarding breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance issues Participate in training and development activities to enhance technical skills Adhere to all health and safety policies and promote safe working practices throughout the site
Essential Requirements
Electrical maintenance experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience working with automated production equipment Full driving licence and access to own transport
Desirable Requirements
18th Edition qualification Experience with PLC-controlled equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics Competent user of Microsoft Excel
